Following suspension in May 2007, a bullying and harassment investigation and a disciplinary in September my husband was dismissed on 13th November. He appealed against this and his hearing was on 20th December. Today we have had a positive result – that is he has been reinstated at a different location with a 2 year reprimand on his (previously clean) record. (For more details see my question on 25th November)

We obviously feel very relieved that this has happened however the fact that we have suffered 9 months of hell spoiling holidays, birthdays Christmas New Year etc doesn’t seem to count for anything. I am glad we do not have to take it to tribunal but still somewhat bitter. Is there anything we can do to claim against his employer for “hurt feelings”?

Many thanks
Heather
