An employee has given 4 weeks notice to quit.
He would like to take 2 days accrued holiday (rather than pay) and finish before the 4 weeks are up AND would also like to take a further 2 unpaid.

The employer is insisting he stays for the full 4weeks, without any reason than “you have to”.

He is not in a senior job.
