Although I work for a very progressive company, I am concerned that my role will have changed on my return from maternity leave.
A lot of pressure has been placed on me by my line manager to prepare a “task list” allocating my tasks to existing members of the team, as they are not getting anyone additional to cover in my absence. I have agreed to do so, but I have asked for a signed job description to ensure that I will actually be returning to the same position that I am in at the moment. I have been told that it is not the company’s policy to do so.
Are there any alternative means whereby I can ensure that my job will not change radically, or even cease to exist in the time that I am away?
