As a freight company we are bound by certain legislation in relation to employment checks – ie 5 years for Airfreight.
Does anyone have a policy of security checks for (non airfreight) personnel working with high value goods in order to prevent infiltration by either opportunistic individuals or organised groups?
Does anyone require potential employees to produce a Police statement? If so, how much does it cost? Do you reimburse the employee the cost? How long does it take to produce?
If temporary employees are employed through recruitment agencies, do you require them to produce this information?
