It looks likely that I shall be required to assist line management in making selections for redundancies in the New Year. In preparation for this I would like to see if anyone has a comprehensive scorings sheet that I could look at?
When we were in this situation a few years ago, I used a simple criteria, with scores from 10 for work performance, skill and knowledge, adaptability/flexibility and qualifications and experience. I would like length of service to be taken into account, although we do need to retain the best person for the job, also considering if we could also use attendance, using the Bradford factor to get a points score. Does anyone have any hands-on experience of using selection criteria, and scorings, and how does a weighting system work?
