I need to set up a competency based appraisal system (similar to the Investor in People style) for a staff of 150. When the competencies have been defined, I have been asked to write clear measures for the managers so that they understand the standards of each grade (i.e. exceeds expectations, meets the standards as expected from an experienced employee, below standard and requires training etc).

Assistance would be greatly appreciated and I would be more than happy to share other experiences to benefit others.
