We recently had an employee who had a bereavement, then produced a medical note stating that she should “refrain for work for 4 weeks” due to debility.
Following the four weeks, she then returned to work.
I was always under the impression that the employee would need to present another certificate from the doctor agreeing that she is now fit to return, but the employee disagrees. Am I wrong?
