We have a member of staff off sick with stress. They are apparently working elsewhere in the same sort of job/hours ec. we called for a meeting to investigate, but they are refusing due to their being off sick. In the meantime they will not reply to any correspondence relating to meeting to discuss their long term sick (a separate issue).

They are a union rep and have had the full time officer on to say we are to leave them alone because they are sick.

Obviously they need managing and this is getting out of hand as colleagues are very demotivated as they see this person getting away with this and say it is not fair.

any help??!!
