Can i add to the never ending list of questions regarding maternity? With regards to the previous maternity legislation when someone returned from ordinary maternity leave we were duty bound to allow her to take up where she left off in the exact position she left before her pregnancy leave. Now with maternity being potentially 12 months do we still have to give her the same position “or” can we offer her a similar role?

Not very well put i know but i am sure you know what i mean.
