My friend applied for a promotion, to a position she held previously in the company (Assistant store manager)(which she left to travel to australia). Following her interview she was told she was going to be on trial period for 3 months. This period has now passed (nearly a month ago), and the company have not really said anything except that they are now considering sending her to manage another store for a week to see how she copes with a team differnt to the one she is working with currently. She is being paid an wage that is not quite what she would earn if she was the assistant manager but is more than her role was previously.
She feels treated unfairly as she is extremly competent at what she is being asked to do, and believes that the company as such are taking the mickey out of her. Could you please tell me how she stands?Many thanks in advance
