I work for a College of Further Education that is about to merge with another local college. The issue is the other college staff are on far less favourable terms and conditions for everything from pay to holiday and redundancy settlement. Our union NATFE are negotiating a new contract which both sets of staff are to move onto. Can we be forced to change our contracts of employment in the light of TUPE? Also how long does TUPE cover us for?
