We are a small distribution company with approximately 30 drivers who work 8 hour days Mon-Fri and Saturday mornings. Our drivers earn a lot of money through overtime (some working between 60-75 hours per week) and if the WTD is rolled out to Road Transport without derogations we will struggle in dealing with this. We cannot afford to red-circle salaries and shift work would probably see us lose drivers to othr HGV employers with higher base salaries.
Has anyone any creative ideas/experience on pay and/or negotiating with such working groups?
