Initially born out of frustration of ‘old school’ HR practices and unethical consultants, Chrysalis Consulting was born in 2013 with a mission to do things differently founded by Kelly Swingler.
Kelly has successfully delivered strategic change across a range of sectors, including retail, finance, legal and housing.
Her work with names such as the John Lewis Partnership, leading housing association Genesis and The Sunday Times 100 Luminus Group, spans every aspect of HR, from employee engagement and leadership development to enhanced processes and culture change.
Kelly’s appointment as the UK’s youngest HR director in 2011, is evidence for her breadth of experience and proactive approach.
She has particular expertise with organisations of between 2,000 and 10,000 employees. As you’ll see from Chrysalis Consulting’s our work page, she’s able to bring clarity to complex scenarios, where clients are dealing with several HR issues at once.
At this scale, Kelly draws on her extensive experience to design programmes which allow her clients to tackle these challenges in the right order and to a time frame that suits their budget.
Underpinning this meticulous approach is a conviction that sustainable change only comes when organisations invest in the development and wellbeing of their teams at every level, from executive directors to frontline staff. Kelly herself is constantly building up her own expertise, testing new ideas and approaches which she can use to the advantage of her clients. A member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (MCIPD), she’s currently studying for a BSc in psychology, to add to the qualifications she holds in executive coaching, facilitation, organisational design and development and project management.
