It feels like it’s been a while since the last HRZone Community blog so I’ve put together a bumper edition with a quick run through the best content from the past couple of months.

Part of why we've been so busy is that we've rolled out our new site. We've been running the new and improved version of HRZone for just over a month now and hope you’re enjoying it. As always, we love to hear your thoughts, suggestions and feedback so let us know what you think.

• It isn’t Summer without some mention of the most recent heatwave. StehpenMcIntyre looks at the impact the climbing temperature had on work absence figures.

• With more remote working and recruitment going on, bryanedwards covers the essential tips for interviewing over Skype. As the comments say, prepare for Murphey’s Law and make sure you have a backup if things go wrong!

• Office life can be tough, especially if co-workers have annoying habits. Somone on my desk chews their pens and I fear they’re starting to eye up mine. Help!

• Do you wear branded work clothing outside of work? Great thoughts from Gary Cattermole about how far employees carry their employer’s brand with them.

 

There have also been plenty of highlights from Any Answers:
