Almost six months after new workplace pensions legislation came into force, Meridian is hosting a free summit and panel discussion to reflect on some of the pragmatic solutions to help British businesses manage the changes.

At the impressive St. Botolph Building in London on Thursday 21st February between 14h00 -18h00, Meridian Business Support will be joined by a panel of leading experts to discuss the future of pensions in the UK. Paying particular regard to sectors that rely heavily on temporary workers, representatives will consider the financial, legislative and economic implications of recent pension reform, including legal responsibilities and planning for auto-enrolment compliance.

David Lunt from the National Employment Savings Trust (NEST) will be seated on the panel, alongside legal expert Tim Johnson (Tim Johnson Law) and Paul Horan, principal consultant at Grant Thornton, as well as other industry representatives. DeeDee Doke, editor of Recruiter magazine, will chair the event to answer delegates’ questions and provide a better understanding of pensions relating to SME and other interested recruitment and HR businesses.

Meridian’s previous event in 2012 was extremely popular, with over 200 delegates attending a debate on AWR and highly positive feedback with regards to better understanding of the legislation and how to deal with possible challenges and tribunals.
