Inspired by Derek Irvine I’ve spent some time researching the links between employee engagement and improved financial and personal performance. I found some fascinating data in the Towers Perrin Global Workforce Study which proves strong links between the two. I’ve posted the data on my blog and it has left me puzzled.

This looks like a rare beast, a win win scenario. The more I examine the evidence, the harder I struggle to understand why these principles aren’t more widely understood, and indeed practiced.

I need your help please. In your experience, what is it that stops organisations from embracing the connection between employee engagement and improved financial performance, and doing something meaningful about it? Have you got any examples of organisations that get this, and do it?

Thanks and have a good day

Doug
